Personality

Allenby loves to fight. Loves it. She's full of energy and pep, running and jumping from point A to point B with joyful abandon, and is always willing to get into a scrap. After meeting Domon Kasshu, Allenby was able to see how fun the Gundam Fight could be and throws her whole self into each match, wanting to win not for Neo-Sweden but for herself. She wants to fight each match with only her own strengths, giving it her all and not giving in 'till the very end.

Because she was raised by the military, Allenby can be a little hesitant and shy when being brought into a normal domestic situation or when meeting new people, but it doesn't take her long to warm up. It's also due to her background that Allenby values her friends so highly. Before meeting Domon and the Shuffle Alliance, she never had any true friends or teammates. She has a truly generous spirit and her loyalty to her friends easily trumps loyalty to her country--she doesn't think twice about giving advice or sharing secret computer technology to another nation's fighter. She'll even put her friends' happiness over her own and will just be happy for them.

Allenby seems to have a blatant disregard for rules of any kind. It's not that she hates rules and breaks them for the hell of it, but when they'd be in the way of something she wants to do, she just... pays no attention to them. She detests being managed or handled and will rebel against authority whenever it bugs her. And for all her glee at battle, Allenby does take it seriously. She has no patience for cheaters or sore losers, and she'll fight to the end of a match regardless of the circumstances. In short, Allenby's a true martial artist who communicates her soul through her fists.

History

Allenby is Neo-Swedish. She lost her parents when she was a child and was taken in by her country's military space forces. They decided to craft her into a perfect Gundam Fighter by enhancing her strength, dexterity, and fighting prowess. They also created a Berserker System that would multiply those things by 120% when it was activated while she was in her Gundam. She was given the official rank of Ensign in the Space Forces. The 13th Gundam Fight began when she was seventeen, old enough to participate as Neo-Sweden's representative. With the Berserker System, she won each match in under a minute and easily advanced to the finals. However, the rigid military control of her crew and the unpleasantness of the system made her chafe. She frequently caused trouble in her downtime, and requested over and over that they not use the system to no avail.

She met Domon Kasshu, Neo-Japan's fighter, in an arcade fight simulator the day before their official match and was impressed with his skills. After an argument with her crew, she ran into him later and shared her frustration with never being able to fight her own way. They realized that they shared the same frustrations: being forced into the Fight after the loss of their family. The two of them promised to make their match a true fight--but as always, her crew decided to activate the Berserker System. However, even a berserk Allenby couldn't defeat Domon and his BURNING SPIRIT--the entire system broke instead, and they finished their match without it. The two were fast friends after that. Allenby helped Domon train for his matches against his friends and investigated Prime Minister Wong and Master Asia's doings. During her first tag-team match with Domon, she refused to stop fighting even though his Gundam was disabled by a magnetic field, taking on Skull Gundam and Ashura Gundam alone and refusing to withdraw despite the severe beating she took. Allenby's resolve inspired Domon to break the laws of physics--that is, the magnetic field--and the two of them executed a Double Burning Finger attack, defeating their foes.

During her second tag-team match with Domon, Allenby's berserk state was triggered remotely by Wong and she was left unconscious afterwards. She was abducted by Wong and infected with Devil Gundam cells, then forced into a permanent berserk state and placed into the powerful Walter Gundam and sent after Domon. She was intercepted by his partner Rain Mikamura in the Rising Gundam. After her defeat, Rain and her father cured her of the DG infection before leaving for Neo-Japan. Domon, victorious in the Gundam Fight, followed when Japan's Colonel Ulube stole the Devil Gundam and forcibly installed Rain as its core life unit. The Shuffle Alliance went with him, but the Devil Gundam was far too powerful despite each colony's efforts to defeat Neo-Japan. Neo-Sweden organized all able Gundams and shot them into space, including Allenby. But the Devil Gundam's regenerative abilities kept them from making real progress. It became clear that the core unit--Rain--would need to be disabled. When Domon despaired of how to reach her, Allenby contacted him and explained that all he needed to do was to say "I love you." Which he did. In fact the two of them turned it into an epic finishing move to blast a heart-shaped hole in the Devil Gundam. When the two emerged, Allenby was absolutely over the moon to see the two of them together, even though she herself was in love with Domon. With the defeat of the Devil Gundam, Earth and the colonies returned to the peace, determined to reform the Gundam Fight for the good of the planet before the next one began, and Allenby returned to the Neo-Swedish forces.

Abilities: WELL. In G Gundam, the Gundam Fighters routinely display the ability to punch and kick so fast that their limbs are a blur, leap several stories in a single bound, and just generally treat the rules of physics like suggestions. The only explanation ever given for these abilities is "training," though in Allenby's case she's been surgically enhanced to give her crazy fighting ability.

There is also the Berserker System. Using a special transmitter, radio waves on a certain frequency are fed into Nobel Gundam, increasing Allenby's fighting abilities by 120% while reducing her to a red-eyed rage monster of death. She can defeat even huge, powerful Gundam Fighters in a matter of seconds. However, it needs both a transmitter on the ground and inside the cockpit to work and cannot be triggered on her when she's outside her Gundam. (Not to mention if Neo-Sweden didn't take it out after the DG Cell fiasco, Allenby would totally do it herself.)

It's also shown that Gundam Fighters can use their specialty techniques outside their cockpits. So don't be surprised if Allenby decides to toss a Nobel Hula Hoop out of her bare hands.

Non-superhuman special abilities of note: Related to the above, Allenby is an excellent martial artist. She's also trained to fight in a Gundam and presumably normal mobile suits as well. She's good at mechanical things and can do maintenance on Gundams.

Gundam Abilities: Like all Gundams, Nobel Gundam is equipped with a pair of vulcan guns--regular firearms that shoot from the sides of its head. Its primary weapon is a beam ribbon (think a gymnast's ribbon, only a BEAM), and the Nobel Hula Hoop, a hoop of beam energy thrown at an enemy. But as with most mobile fighters, its primary means of attack is hand-to-hand combat. Mobile fighters also differ from mobile suits in that the pilot directly feels the impact of attacks through the Trace System--so if Nobel Gundam gets it in the breadbasket, Allenby gets it in the breadbasket.
